Eggs in the Clinton Library

Hillary may be planning to roll Obama this Easter and perhaps that will happen but come November, (or will it be Rovember?) John McCain will have all the eggs in his basket.

Happy Easter!

You can’t pick your family but you sure can pick your pastor, Obama.

Barack Obama said this: I can no more disown [Rev. Wright] than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother - a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.

I understand that Barack Obama’s grandmother is still living. To use one’s own grandmother in order to survive politically is crass, low and tacky. There is very little character in the man.

Wide Awake Cafe has been neglected recently, as the proprietor has been away tending to the living. Noah is seven weeks old and growing and smiling and cooing. I’ve been helping his parents everyday and it is wonderful. But, the keeping of house and Cafe have been put on hold.

Nevertheless, I am not going to give up and will blog when I get a chance.

So, what have I missed since March 2nd?

Hillary and Barrack are still beating each other with feather dusters.

An Obama girl said Hillary is a monster and had to resign from his campaign.

Poor Geraldine Ferraro has been Jimmy the Greeked for her unfortunate choice of words about Obama.

The real monster is Obama’s hate filled pastor, Jeremiah Wright. If Obama doesn’t agree with him why did he spend so much time sitting in his pew?

Do we want Jeremiah Wright as America’s Pastor?

John McCain issued an ad with the wonderful words of Winston Churchill. I’m liking him more and more. It’s kind of like Johnny is just alright with me.

The state of New York discovered that their governor is a hypocritical and possibly, criminal lech. This news filled me with schadenfreude. We lived in the state of New York for two years when Bill Clinton was elected President and the state helped to elect him. Then they selected Hillary Clinton as their senator. The milk toast, George Pataki was New York’s governor for most of the ninties but when he stepped down the state went full metal Democrat. They got what they paid for.

Of course, there are many wonderful people in New York so I am not condemning the entire state and do sympathize with them.

We had a late winter snow with enough inches to tie a record set in the late 1800s.

I’ve read every book that I know of that is in print about our great founder and second President of the United States, John Adams. David McCullough’s book, John Adams ranks as number one in my estimation. Now his book is on HBO tomorrow night at eight pm central. I will be watching it. The Anchoress has a wonderful review of the book.

John Adams on the election of a President:

I pray Heaven to bestow the best blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof.

Socks, once the official White House cat during the Clinton administration, now purportedly lives a life of anonymity with Betty Currie, Bill Clinton’s enabler-secretary. Hillary had no more use for the feline when the vacation from history during the nineties was over, so Socks was sent packing. Buddy the dog, useful during the Impeachment days for friendly photo-ops, met an even worse fate.

How Socks must approve of Barack Obama, another cool cat, who seems to be on the cusp of defeating Hillary the Stiff. How ironic that Hillary and Socks share a display case in the Clinton Library.

Socks the cat deserved so much more, as most cat lovers understand. Perhaps he is a happier cat living with a woman who dished out her unrequited loyalty to a president more interested in winning at any cost than in ever admitting the truth.

Some Republicans in Texas are crossing over this Tuesday to vote for Hillary in order to defeat Barack Obama in their (valid) belief that Obama will be a much harder opponent for John McCain.

I say, let nature take its course. Nature can be cleansing in its severity. Even Democrats in their overweening desire to regain the White House are opting out on Hillary.

I truly hope Socks is still alive and able to snooze near a television tuned to the news this Tuesday.
