Today is the third anniversary of the “Day the Statue Fell.” I will never forget that day and I think I never will. I hope the American and Iraqi people remember that day as John Adams once said of our own country’s revolution…..

as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward for evermore.

As our troops continue to do their good work in Iraq and the democrat-media aggregate continue to discount that work the American people more than ever need to support the troops and the Iraqi people in that mission. Just as no good deed goes unpunished no good work is ever easy.

I join in with the families of American troops asking the media to remember this day…..

Families of American troops are asking national newspapers and television news networks not to ignore the three-year anniversary Sunday of the day Saddam Hussein fled Baghdad and his statue was toppled.

What are we getting in response from the MSM? Negative articles like this…..and this.

Other than that I’m not seeing much coverage unfortunately, Seymour Hersh’s hyperventilating article claiming that President Bush is planning a massive bombing campaign against Iran including nukes is the medias favorite story today.

Who is remembering this day? Many bloggers of course and legions of military families. Some in Ivory Towers don’t even think we are at war unbelievably. Blue Star Chronicles is holding the ninth Carnival of Blue Stars celebrating all our troops have accomplished.
