I don’t think Dennis Hastert should resign because of the Foley mess. The deal is, Hastert probably had questions about Foley after learning about the questionable emails to the page but after Foley was counseled to cut it out, Hastert assumed he would. What he didn’t realize was that Mark Foley was apparently too obsessed with boys to do anything logical.

What about the wife of the killer of the five Amish girls? She lived with him day in and day out and didn’t know that he was capable of such shocking violence. In an act of incredible forgiveness, she was invited to attend some of the girls’ funerals. No one would ever think of placing her husband’s guilt on her and yet many are doing that to Dennis Hastert.

It’s just politics and dirty politics at that. Foley’s out and thank goodness for that. The story (except for the sweeping up) ought to be over by now.

But the media and democrats find Masturgate a convenient distraction from the serious issues voters need to be considering…..what will the democrats do about the war on terror if they win back power in Congress?

For some reason, they try to avoid answering that question.
