Wide Awake Cafe has been neglected recently, as the proprietor has been away tending to the living. Noah is seven weeks old and growing and smiling and cooing. I’ve been helping his parents everyday and it is wonderful. But, the keeping of house and Cafe have been put on hold.

Nevertheless, I am not going to give up and will blog when I get a chance.

So, what have I missed since March 2nd?

Hillary and Barrack are still beating each other with feather dusters.

An Obama girl said Hillary is a monster and had to resign from his campaign.

Poor Geraldine Ferraro has been Jimmy the Greeked for her unfortunate choice of words about Obama.

The real monster is Obama’s hate filled pastor, Jeremiah Wright. If Obama doesn’t agree with him why did he spend so much time sitting in his pew?

Do we want Jeremiah Wright as America’s Pastor?

John McCain issued an ad with the wonderful words of Winston Churchill. I’m liking him more and more. It’s kind of like Johnny is just alright with me.

The state of New York discovered that their governor is a hypocritical and possibly, criminal lech. This news filled me with schadenfreude. We lived in the state of New York for two years when Bill Clinton was elected President and the state helped to elect him. Then they selected Hillary Clinton as their senator. The milk toast, George Pataki was New York’s governor for most of the ninties but when he stepped down the state went full metal Democrat. They got what they paid for.

Of course, there are many wonderful people in New York so I am not condemning the entire state and do sympathize with them.

We had a late winter snow with enough inches to tie a record set in the late 1800s.

I’ve read every book that I know of that is in print about our great founder and second President of the United States, John Adams. David McCullough’s book, John Adams ranks as number one in my estimation. Now his book is on HBO tomorrow night at eight pm central. I will be watching it. The Anchoress has a wonderful review of the book.

John Adams on the election of a President:

I pray Heaven to bestow the best blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof.
