Crayons can be very versatile. I used Crayola crayons on this piece; sky blue, indigo blue, cerulean blue and blue. I used a little construction crayon white for highlights.

My scanner is going bad. It put some unsightly marks on the left side of the picture.


This more graphic drawing has information about Leonardo da Vinci radiating out from the sketch of Mona Lisa. I included quotes by Leonardo as well as the history of the painting. (as much is known)

What has been discarded by art historians is the speculation that the painting of Mona Lisa was a self portrait of the artist himself.
