Lake Fort Smith in the fall of the year

It’s a pleasant weekend here in Arkansas; cool nights and cool mornings that heat up to warm afternoons. By the time evening comes we can sit on the porch and watch the sky go dark and talk about the political outrages of the day. We are optimistic about the direction the McCain campaign is going, thanks mostly to the steadfastness of Sarah Palin who had a Friday night arrow directed her way. The arrow had a rubber tip, however.

As the late Peggy Lee sang, Is that all there is?

Hillary warned her fellow Democrats about Obama’s close connections with Bill Ayres, and Tony Rezko and other scoundrels but they wouldn’t have any, so now, three weeks before the election those chickens are coming home to roost.

And then there’s the voter fraud. If the Democrats really think Obama has it in the bag, why are they working so hard to make sure dead people are voting?

What about Obama and his connections with the group Acorn?

Is it just a coincidence that incidences of massive vote fraud are popping up in the big swing states?

Barrack Obama’s fishy associations are beginning to smell really foul and apparently it extends to the campaign plane. A reporter who spent the past year on the Obama plane and has recently moved to the McCain campaign has apparently been freed to smell the fresh air of the Straight Talk Express. He said the Obama plane stinketh.

The Democrat response to all of these facts and allegations? Call everyone racists.

In fact, Obama and his campaign has attempted to shut down free speech throughout this election cycle. What does that bode for an Obama presidency?

Another October surprise which will not be surprising for us is when we receive our next 401k statements. So we won’t be retiring anytime soon. No surprise for me. After all, I am an artist. Artists never retire. We work until we no longer can. I hope to be painting and drawing and writing and creating until the Lord transfers me up to work on the Pearly Gates. I’m sure there will some work for me to do there.
