Grief is the worst of lifes’ maladies. It appears at the unlikeliest of times and pierces the soul clean through.
On February 8th, 2006 my 26 year old nephew, Matt died of an undiagnosed heart ailment. Last Friday his older sister, Annabeth died suddenly in Florida. Amy, the driver of the car in the above photo has lost both her brother and sister in the span of three years. Her parents have lost two well beloved children.
Here are Annabeth and Matt during their childhoods.

UPDATE:
Here is the poetic tribute my husband wrote for his sweet niece, Annabeth. (Annabe) My sister, Lucy did the beautiful calligraphy.

Oh God, Laura Lee, that is so incredibly sad for your family. Losing someone so young and lovely as Annabeth. My heart and my prayers are with you!

It's just awful. What is worse is that my husband's first cousin, Jerry died this past Sunday of heart failure. We lost two Donohos in one week. Jerry was a wonderful guy.

Unbearable sadness. How could it be?

Hey Laura, I just read about Annabeth in the obituaries. So very sad. You know I understand the grief those parents and family members feel. My heart felt condolences go out to all family members, especially the parents.

I'm so sorry. How incredibly sad. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, to say that helps, unfortunately. Being in your family for the time the did have is wonderful, however.

Laura Lee, you and your entire family are in our prayers.
We have the blessed promise of seeing our loved ones again one day, but for now we miss them terribly.
May God be with you, your husband, the parents and siblings, along with friends and other family and loved ones during this terribly difficult time in your lives.

Laura Lee:
What a beautiful, touching tribute your husband wrote at a time when words must be ever so difficult to come by.
